Shalavia Judene Joyce Gibbons, 32, was charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, accident involving death or injury while not licensed, driving with a suspended driver’s license, reckless driving, and disregarding a traffic lane after an incident on South 16th Street in Columbia on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 7:19 a.m.
Police said the charges stemmed from Gibbons’ actions during the incident. Details of the crash and the extent of injuries have not been released.
Gibbons was formally charged on Thursday, Oct. 31.
